Cordell Rogerson enjoyed a clean sweep in both the 125cc and the 250cc categories

Kingaroy Junior Motorcycle Speedway Club’s last club day for riders was postponed due to the weather, which meant a special double header was held at the Kingaroy Showgrounds on Saturday.

Club secretary Tracey Tunstall said the fields were small but there had been some “intense” racing in the 125cc and 250cc categories, and even in the PeeWees.

“There was a bit of excitement with two bikes leaving the track at times, but no one was hurt,” she said.

One of these “run-offs” was in the PeeWees which demonstrates how seriously the tiny riders take their racing.

In the competitive categories, local rider Cordell Rogerson dominated both Club Day 1 and Day 2, taking out the 125cc and 250cc classes.
