Some very lucky young South Burnett dancers have the trip of a lifetime planned later this year … and it includes a trip to Disneyland!

A group of 22 dancers from the Kingaroy Dance Academy have been invited to dance in the Disney Christmas Parade.

“It’s the first time that a South Burnett dance school has been invited to dance at Disneyland!” said proud mum, Abigail Andersson.

The dancers, who range in age from seven to 18, will also be performing at Universal Studios and on Hollywood Boulevard.

The children will fly out of Australia on December 7.

Taking 22 children to the United States won’t be cheap – the estimated cost is $3500 per dancer – so the fundraising has begun.

On Sunday, parents helped by their eager children, organised a car boot sale in the car park of the Broadway Hotel in Kingaroy.

There was everything from toys and kitchen appliances, to books and clothing.

A sausage sizzle, raffles and face painting also added to the fundraising.
