A teenage boy was flown to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition after a dirt bike crash near Murgon on Sunday.

The 14-year-old was taken to Murgon Hospital and then airlifted by the Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight helicopter to Nambour Hospital.

A LifeFlight spokesperson said the boy suffered leg and possible spinal injuries after coming off the dirt bike.

A Brisbane-based RACQ LifeFlight helicopter flew to Chinchilla Hospital on Sunday to assist another young boy injured in a motorbike crash.

The LifeFlight spokesperson said the boy swerved to miss a kangaroo and a hit stump. He was ejected off the bike and hit a tree, suffering multiple injuries.

He was airlifted to Nambour Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
