A funeral service will be held on Thursday for former Kingaroy State High School teacher Tony Cush who died on Saturday.
Mr Cush fulfilled many roles at the school over the years, including Assistant to the Principal, Manual Arts teacher, Science teacher and rugby league coach.
A number of well-known NRL players were a product of his skills, including current Titans second-rower Chris McQueen whom he coached as a junior.
Mr Cush was also a Life Member of the Kingaroy Red Ants.
His career at KSHS spanned many phases.
For the past few years he has been working at the Kingaroy FlexiSchool, retiring just at the end of last year.
Mr Cush’s sudden death from a medical condition has stunned former colleagues.
He was aged just 64 years.
Mr Cush is survived by his wife Karen and six children.
The funeral service will be held from 9:00am on Thursday in Kingaroy Town Hall.
The service will be followed by interment at the Taabinga Monumental Cemetery.
