UPDATE 6:50pm: Heavy smoke from a vegetation fire at Ballogie could lead to a temporary closure of Chinchilla-Wondai Road.
Nine fire crews are at the blaze which broke about about 2:20pm on Monday.
The fire is burning with containment lines and is posing no threat to property at this time, however, it is generating significant smoke in the area.
“QFES understands Chinchilla-Wondai Road will be closed to traffic, so motorists should avoid the area and drive with caution and to conditions,” a QFES spokesperson said.
“If residents are concerned their property is under threat they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.”

Earlier: Four fire crews were called to a vegetation fire burning near Chinchilla-Wondai Road, Ballogie, on Monday afternoon.
A QFES spokesperson said there was no threat to property.
Firefighters were working to contain the blaze which was generating significant smoke in the area.
Motorists have been asked to drive with caution and watch out for emergency personnel working along Chinchilla-Wondai Road.
