The Nanango Race Club will be holding its annual Christmas Race Meeting at the Lee Park Raceway on Sunday, December 4.
This is the last South Burnett race meeting for the year, and it’s a popular way to kick off their Festive Season celebrations for racegoers.
It’s also the first ever Sunday meeting for the race club, to avoid conflicting with other Saturday meetings.
The meeting’s theme is “Tea Party Florals and Bowties” and guests are encouraged to dress up in their best summer outfits to be in the running for some great Moffatdale Ridge Fashions Of The Field prizes.
Several groups will be holding Christmas get-togethers in the grounds, and Santa Claus will be putting in an appearance to spread some Yuletide joy, too.
The club’s popular Champagne@the Bit Bar will be running all day serving up bubbly and platters, and there’ll also be a licensed bar and barbecue, bookies and an on-course tote.
And after the last race is run, there’ll be live musical entertainment for guests who’d enjoy an after party.
Buses will be running from Kingaroy’s Kingaroy’s Glendon Street Bus Depot at noon, and the Nanango RSL at 12:30pm.
Gates will open at the track at 10:00am and the first race will leave the barriers at 1:35pm.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for pensioners (under-15s are free).
