A 55-year-old man will appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on Tuesday afternoon charged with murder over the death of Nanango resident Bruce Flynn last year.

The man was taken into custody by police at Benarkin on Tuesday morning.

On September 11, 2015, Mr Flynn, 60, was found unconscious at his home in Old Esk Road, Nanango.

Reports at the time said ambulance paramedics attended the residence and took Mr Flynn to Kingaroy Hospital where he died a short time later.

Detectives from Kingaroy CIB and the Homicide Investigation Unit launched Operation North Tungsten to investigate the death.

William Arthur Feeney entered no plea and made no application for bail when he appeared in Murgon Magistrates Court on Tuesday afternoon.

He was remanded in custody and the matter was adjourned to Kingaroy Magistrates Court on January 17.

Feeney will not be required to appear.
