October 9, 2016
The organisers of the Hivesville Markets are organising a special day to mark their 9th anniversary on Sunday, October 23.
There will be a tai chi demonstration at the Hivesville Sportsground 9:45am, followed at 10:00am by the distribution of “goody bags” and ice blocks to the children.
Tea, coffee, scones and pikelets will be available to buy at the QCWA stall, while hamburgers and sausages will be served up by the Lions Club.
Hot chips will be available at the Relay For Life stall.
As well, there’ll be all the usual produce, plants, craft and bric-a-brac stalls and an auction at 10:30am.
After the auction, the raffle will be drawn. First prize is a voucher from IGA, second prize is a meat voucher and thirs is a fuel voucher.
The anniversary markets will also coincide with the official opening of the new Hivesville toilet block.
Cr Kathy Duff will cut the (probably pink) ribbon at 9:30am.
