A 51-year-old man was more than five times over the legal blood alcohol limit when breathtested at the weekend, police will allege.

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Duane Frank, said the man’s ute was pulled over for an RBT on West Wooroolin Road, Wooroolin,  at 6:00pm on Saturday.

“The driver was in an extremely intoxicated state,” Snr Sgt Frank said.

He allegedly recorded a BAC of  0.273.

The man has been charged with drink driving and driving without a licence.

The Queensland road toll for 2016 stands at 171, with 10 fatalities so far in September.

The latest death occurred on Monday afternoon when a motorcycle and a car collided head-on at Kallangur.
