On the grid at South Burnett Kart Hire … there will be two police officers in every race

August 15, 2016

Think you can outrun the police? Here’s a way to put it to the test without risking a lengthy jail sentence.

Nanango police have challenged local drivers to “take it to the track” on Sunday, September 18, in a bid to raise awareness of road safety and the risks of street racing.

South Burnett Kart Hire in Nanango will host a full day of racing with two police officers in every 10-minute race.

There will also be road safety displays, an impaired / distraction driving simulator, jumping castles for the children and a sausage sizzle.

The day will run from 9:00am to 5:00pm and will raise money for charity.

UPDATE: Due to wet weather, this event has been rescheduled to Saturday, October 29.
