A 17-year-old Booie man was lucky to escape serious injury when the front tyre on his 4WD blew on Friday morning on Kingaroy Barkers Creek Road.

The Toyota LandCruiser wagon, left the road and rolled, causing extensive damage to the vehicle.

Senior Sergeant Duane Frank, officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, said the teenager was very fortunate to be alive.

Ambulance paramedics were called to the incident at Booie but fortunately were not required.

Kingaroy police arrested a 39-year-old woman at a residence in Crawford on Wednesday morning.

The woman was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant.

She was taken into custody.

A P-plate driver allegedly had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.130 when he was tested by police on Friday night.

Kingaroy police pulled over the 19-year-old Kingaroy man in Belle Street just before midnight.

P-plate drivers should have a zero BAC.

A 28-year-old Kingaroy man will face a charge of possessing a knife after police stopped a vehicle on Saturday night in Queen Street, Kingaroy.

Snr Sgt Frank said that when police stopped the vehicle, the driver appeared agitated and was not co-operative.

He said during a subsequent search of the man and the vehicle, police allegedly located a knife in the man’s underwear.

The man is due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates’ Court on July 4.

Snr Sgt Frank said police investigated a suspicious vehicle parked in the car park at the Kingaroy McDonald’s at 1:00am on Sunday.

A 19-year-old Kingaroy man will face drugs charges after police allegedly located a small amount of cannabis and drug utensils hidden in his clothing.
