A 36-year-old Dalby man died in a single vehicle crash on the Dalby Cooyar Road in the early hours of Monday.

A passing motorist found the wrecked Toyota LandCruiser about 4:30am.

The driver, the sole person in the vehicle, died at the scene.

It appears the vehicle left the road and hit a tree, about 15km from Dalby.

The Police Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.

The death takes Queensland’s road toll for 2016 to 112, with 15 fatalities in June.

The injured teenager is transferred from the CareFlight helicopter in Brisbane

A 17-year-old girl who was injured after falling from a horse was airlifted to Brisbane from Kingaroy Hospital on Saturday night.

The teenager suffered suspected head and spinal injuries.

CareFlight’s Toowoomba-based helicopter was despatched at 5.30pm on Saturday.

The girl was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.
