People with diabetes – and those who want to avoid it – are invited to attend a free Diabetes Queensland “Got Suga” workshop in Cherbourg on Tuesday (June 21).

Diabetes Queensland educator Grace Ward and actor Anthony Newcastle will be at the Boys’ Dormitory in Cherbourg to host a day of discussion and storytelling to help people find out more about what they can do to live well with diabetes.

“It’s a really useful day where people can join in and learn through discussion and storytelling,” Ms Ward said.

“People can ask us if they have any questions about diabetes, and we’ve got easy-to-act-on facts about what people can do to help themselves.”

The workshop would start with morning tea at 9:30am and then run until 2:30pm.

Ms Ward said a free lunch would also be served to all who attend.

Contact Diabetes Queensland on 1300-136-588 (free call) to book a spot.
