The John Dundas Holden dealership in Kingaroy is sporting a new trophy thanks to the team effort of staff members during 2015.

The dealership was recently awarded a coveted Grand Master award by Holden, one of only nine dealerships in Queensland to earn the recognition.

Mark Huston travelled to Barcelona in Spain to receive the award on behalf of the team back home.

The Grand Master award is handed out to 32 Holden dealerships across Australia every year.

It is based on sales volume across Holden’s national network of 230 dealerships.

Mark said dealers compete against businesses of similar size.

The Barcelona awards ceremony was organised by General Motors to celebrate “the best of the best” from its dealerships in various countries across the Asia Pacific area.

“Grand Master” is one of the highest awards that Holden gives their dealers.

To reach Grand Master status, Holden says dealers must demonstrate “continued exceptional customer service in addition to sound business objectives including sales excellence, after-sales delivery, training and other quality measure across all areas of the business”.

Holden chairman Mark Bernhard said the winning dealers had delivered exceptional results in all areas of the business and demonstrated an outstanding ongoing commitment to customers.

“I am very proud of the team to be able to achieve this award,” Mark said.

“It takes in all facets of the business, from sales and parts through to service.”
