Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a 14-year-old boy missing from Kingaroy.

The boy was last seen in Gympie around 12.30am on Thursday, June 9.

It is thought he may be heading to Bribie Island.

He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved black t-shirt, brown pants, maroon shoes, and a baseball cap.

He is described as caucasian in appearance, approximately 155cm tall with a proportionate build, brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with any information in relation to this boy’s whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800-333-000.

UPDATE June 12: A 14-year-old boy reported missing from Kingaroy and last seen on June 9 in Gympie has been located safe and well in Yamba, NSW.

Police wish to thank members of the public and the media for their assistance with this matter.
