A woman has been charged following an altercation in Cherbourg on Friday afternoon.
Police were called to an address on Barber Street about 4:45pm following reports that a man had suffered a laceration to his leg.
It will be alleged the man was involved in an argument with a woman, and as a result, the man was slashed on the leg with a knife.
The 45-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
A woman was taken into custody a short time later.
Police have charged a 44-year-old woman with one count of wounding.
A police spokesman said she was due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Saturday.
