Police investigating the armed robbery of the United Petroleum (Ryke Fuel) service station in Kingaroy have released CCTV vision of the theft.

Around 8:20pm on Thursday, April 7,  a man entered the business on the corner of Youngman Street and River Road armed with a machete.

The man demanded money from a male staff member who complied.

The thief removed money from the cash register then fled the scene on foot towards Youngman Street.

He was wearing a balaclava, a hooded jumper, long pants and gloves.

Anyone who recognises the man or has any other information which may assist detectives is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800-333-000 or Kingaroy CIB on (07) 4160-4900.
