A 39-year-old Yarraman woman will face a string of charges after she allegedly went on a $1300 shoplifting spree in Kingaroy on Tuesday.

Police will allege the woman stole items ranging in value from a $1 wooden spoon to a $190 football jumper.

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Duane Frank, said the woman was detected stealing from one of the shops.

Police were given a description of her vehicle, which they intercepted driving along Alford Street at the Kingaroy Street traffic lights.

A search of the vehicle recovered items allegedly stolen from Coppards, Wayne’s World, Red Cross, Blooms The Chemist, Pay Less Shoes, Kingaroy Post Shop, Crossroads, ICE, Best & Less, SportFirst and the newsagency.

The woman has been charged with nine counts of stealing, with two more charges yet to be laid.

She has also been charged with possessing goods suspected of being stolen.

She will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on May 9.
