The Conpak South Burnett White U18 Eagles travelled to Clifton to take on the Gatton Hawks in the third round of the Toowoomba U18 competition at the weekend and ended up nine tries to three victors.

The first trip away for the Burnett boys didn’t seem to impact their performance but with a few players out injured they still have improvements to make.

SB White won 46-16 in another hot encounter with both sides finishing with less than the full 13 on the field.

The Gatton team tried hard and when White made back-to-back errors in the second half they were able to post points.

The White Eagles looked good in patches but a couple of late withdrawals in key positions meant it was always going to be difficult to maintain structures for the entire game.

On Sunday (April 10) the South Burnett White Eagles will travel to Toowoomba to take on the Brothers in a big test for the Burnett team.

Every week will be a new challenge for the Burnett boys but they will get a real test of where they are at in the Toowoomba competition.

A second week of travel will test their commitment but thanks to Bellinghams Bus n Coach, the trip should be comfortable.
