Roz Frohloff has been elected as the new councillor for Division 1.
At 2:41pm on Friday afternoon, the Electoral Commission declared the result.
Mrs Frohloff will take over the seat from outgoing Cr Barry Green, who announced he would be retiring at the March 19 election after serving the Division for two terms.
She secured 47.91 per cent of the primary votes against fellow candidates Sandy Towell (24.46 per cent), Steve Jeffery (16.67 per cent) and Nanango and Districts SBRAG president Caroline Haskard (10.97 per cent).
It is unknown at present how many preference rounds had to be counted to push Mrs Frohloff to the required 50 per cent plus one vote which was needed to secure victory.
Mrs Frohloff will join Cr Kathy Duff, Cr Ros Heit and new Division 4 Cr Terry Fleischfresser as the only four South Burnett candidates so far declared in the election, which was held two weeks ago.
