A 51-year-old Bundaberg man was taken to Kingaroy Hospital with minor injuries after a vehicle pulling a caravan overturned on the Chinchilla-Wondai Road on Good Friday.

The incident occurred about 8:00am at Wilkesdale.

The man was driving a Mitsubishi Triton dualcab ute when it left the road and turned on its side.

His 50-year-old female passenger was not injured.

The couple managed to free themselves from the wreck before emergency personnel arrived.

Ambulance paramedics treated the man at the scene for lacerations to his leg caused by broken glass, and then transported him to hospital.

Police investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing, but alcohol was not a contributing factor.

A 42-year-old Gladstone woman has been charged with possessing cannabis seeds and possessing a drug utensil after Murgon police stopped a vehicle on the Bunya Highway near Murgon about 11:20am Sunday.

A specimen of the woman’s blood was later taken for further analysis.

A 21-year-old NSW man has been issued with a notice to appear in  court after Murgon Police stopped his vehicle on Barambah Road, near the intersection with the Bunya Highway, at 1:00am on Monday.

The man will face charges of possessing hashish and possessing drug utensils when he appears in Murgon Magistrates Court on May 10.

Firefighters were called to a large grass fire burning near Simpsons Road at Wondai on Good Friday.

Units in attendance included Cloyna, Mondure, Tablelands, McEuen rural brigades and Wondai urban units which quickly contained the blaze.

Firefighters monitored the area into the evening and returned on Saturday after  reports of a second fire burning in inaccessible country.
