The Kumbia Catholic Ladies hosted a special St Patrick’s Day garden party last Saturday in the grounds of the Kumbia Catholic Church.

There was a fashion parade – featuring the latest styles from St Vinnies – Irish music, a teddy bears picnic, a Green Elephant stall, face-painting, and a fancy hat competition.

There was also afternoon tea, and even a croquet game on the lawns.

The Catholic Ladies usually organise a concert to mark St Patrick’s Day but this year decided to try something a little bit different.

And with green everywhere to be seen, the old Irish saint would have been smiling  …
