A 22-year-old man was flown to Toowoomba Hospital with suspected neck and shoulder injuries after a motorbike crash near Boondooma Dam on Monday morning.

The Toowoomba-based RACQ CareFlight helicopter was despatched to assist the man at 10:25am.

It is believed the rider was injured when his off-road motorbike struck a stationery object and he was catapulted over the handlebars.

The man was treated at the scene by a CareFlight medical team before being airlifted to hospital in a stable condition.
