Kingaroy detectives seized 72 cannabis plants during a raid on a property 10km south of Kingaroy on Wednesday morning.
Detective Sergeant Dane Sheraton, from Kingaroy CIB, said the plants seized ranged in size from small to 3m high fully mature plants.
He said the plants were seized on a residential property, growing in the open.
Det Sgt Sheraton said it was probably the largest seizure of cannabis in the South Burnett over the past three years.
A 58-year-old man has been charged with producing dangerous drugs and possessing dangerous drugs.
He is due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on April 4.
