Goombungee residents’ lives will be a little but safer thanks to a project organised by local police officer Senior Constable Tim Mahoney.
Snr Const Mahoney, from Goombungee Police Station, co-ordinated a project to get a defibrillator available for public use in Goombungee.
New Hope Mining and Compliance Steel came on board and donated money and products to help make this a reality.
On Monday, Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington and representatives from New Hope Mining, Compliance Steel, the Queensland Ambulance, Goombungee Show Society and the Queensland Police Service attended the launch at the Pioneer Arms Hotel at Mocatta Street Goombungee.
