Five people will appear in Nanango Magistrates Court charged with a total of 20 drug and weapons offences after a series of drug raids on Tuesday.

Officers from Nanango Police, with assistance from Yarraman and Blackbutt stations, executed a number of search warrants within the Nanango Police Division.

Their investigations targeted the supply, production, and distribution of dangerous drugs.

It will be alleged police located drugs worth more than $90,000, including 800g of cannabis and 37 mature cannabis plants.

The majority of the plants were more than two metres high.

The five people will be charged with production, supply, and possession of dangerous drugs and possession of restricted items.

“This is a great outcome and demonstrates our commitment to community safety and the removal of dangerous drugs from our streets,” a police spokesman said.

A 65-year-old man was taken to hospital on Tuesday after a quad bike crash near Ironpot.

Ambulance paramedics were called to Ironpot Road about 12:30pm.

The man was transported in a stable condition to Kingaroy Hospital with suspected hip injuries.

This is the second injury involving a quad bike in the Ironpot area in the past few days.
