The Kingaroy Photographic Club held its Annual General Meeting recently, and a highlight of the meeting was a motion to award three Lifetime Memberships to three long-standing members: Cliff Schwenke, Geoffrey Armstrong and Mervin (Mick) Cook.

Cliff joined the club in 1958, Geoffrey in 1967 and Mick became a member in 1980.

The trio have notched up a combined 143 years between them, and all three still regularly attend the club’s meetings.

Cliff’s wife Audrey was also a keen member of the club, and is remembered through the KPC’s annual Audrey Schwenke Memorial Award for Landscape Photography.

Mick’s wife Val especially liked to photograph children when she was a club member, and is also remembered each year through the Val Cook Memorial Award for Child Photography.

The motion to award the Life Memberships was passed unanimously.

All other Executive and Committee positions were filled and members are looking forward to another full program in 2016.

Wendy Turner was elected as President and Howard Jack as Vice-President. The Treasurer’s role will be filled by Zac Dennien, and Rosemary Pratt was elected the club’s Secretary.
