Wednesday (February 24) is the last day to get names in for the big Burrumbuttock Golf and Barefoot Bowls Day which will be held on Saturday in Murgon.

The fundraiser for the Burrumbuttock Hay Run will feature live entertainment, and an opportunity to meet the original Burrumbuttock hay runner, Brendan “Bumpa” Farrell.

The cost to take part is $15, which includes either a game of golf or bowls plus a hamburger.

Lunch will be available at Murgon Bowls Club and Murgon Golf Club at noon.

There’ll be live entertainment throughout the afternoon at the golf club, including music by Amber Goldsmith and Amanda Faulkner from 4:30pm-6:30pm.

A barbecue dinner and $5 burgers will be available at the Golf Club from 6:00pm, followed by an auction at 7:00pm.

Deal’n will then take to the stage to provide live music from 7:30pm until late.

A free shuttle bus will be leaving the Golden Spurs Hotel in Proston at 11:00am for local residents who would like to take part in the big day.

Another free bus will take patrons from the Murgon Bowls Club to the Murgon Golf Club at 5:30pm.

The day will help raise funds for the next Burrumbuttock Hay Run to Ilfracombe which leaves on April 1.
