Liam Badger, coach Jeff Bullock, Rhys Lightning and Aaron Fuller … coming to  Kingaroy

January 18, 2016

Some of Australia’s top kickboxers will be coming to Kingaroy on February 13 for the South Burnett’s first pro-am kickboxing show.

Kickboxing is a hybrid martial art combining traditional boxing skills with the high kicks from Muay Thai.

The fighters coming include Liam Badger, the current World Association of Kickboxing Organisation (WAKO) Queensland champion who represented Australia at last year’s World Championships in Serbia.

Liam will be fighting Rhys Lightning  in a World Martial Arts Organisation (WMO) National A Class Title fight.

There will also be female kickboxers on the program, with Amy Campbell and Chiqa Lovini-Jorgensen fighting five two minute rounds for a WMO National A Class title.

Amy has also won a WAKO title during her career.

Other fighters on the card include Kevin Lyon and Aaron Fuller.

The night of kickboxing will be held at the Kingaroy Town Hall from 5:30pm on February 13.

Tickets are $35 (general admission) or $50 (ringside) and are available from the Commercial Hotel and Karate4Kids in Kingaroy, Rapid Fitness in Nanango, or by calling 1300-854-542.

An official after party will be held at the Commercial Hotel.
