December 4, 2015
December means Christmas to most people … but in the South Burnett, it also means dance concerts.
The end of the year is always the time for our region’s dance schools to show off their students’ skills with tightly-executed dance routines, brilliant backdrops, beautiful costumes and atmospheric music.
On Saturday night, December 5, it will be Nanango’s La Creme Dance Academy turn to dazzle and delight.
Their concert this is year is based around two themes: ‘A Rendition Of Frozen’ (the movie) and ‘A Chance To Dance’.
The concert will be held at Nanango State High School’s hall in Elk Street at 6:30pm, and the 2 hour 10 minute show – which includes a 20 minute interval – promises to be breath-taking.
Nanango photographer Clive Lowe went along to La Creme’s rehearsals to get a sneak peek of what the school will be bringing audiences this year.
His photographs on this page give a small, sneak peek of what guests can expect to see on Saturday night.
Tickets to the show are $15 for adults or $10 for pensioners and children aged 4 to 16 years (under-3s are free), and they can be obtained at the door.
