The Wondai Show Society is gearing up for its big Christmas Eve Carnival next Thursday night.
This will be the 69th year that this traditional South Burnett start to Christmas will be held in Coronation Park.
The fun will get underway at 5:00pm and the organisers promise something for everyone.
As well as the popular barbecue, there’ll be drinks stalls and other snacks available, amusement rides and a merry-go-round.
Wondai Town and District Band will entertain with a selection of Christmas favourites.
The wheels will start spinning about 6:00pm.
The Goods Wheel (50 cents a ticket) will have many great items to be won including goodies for Christmas Day and those last-minute gifts.
Show Society patron Kevin Perkins will again be manning the Ham Wheel ($1 tickets). There will also be super draws.
Despite it being his busiest night of the year, Santa is expected to drop in at 7:30pm with free ice blocks for the children.
The Christmas Eve Carnival is the major fundraiser for the annual Wondai Show.
Acting Show Society secretary Noreen Brier invited all South Burnett residents and visiting friends and family to join Wondai residents on the special evening to “catch up with old friends, relax and enjoy yourself”.
