Nanango’s big festive night will be New Year’s Eve this year, but that doesn’t mean the town has forgotten all about Christmas.

Nanango’s Christmas Festival was hosted by Nanango Lions Club and Nanango Blue Light volunteers at the Blue Light Hall in George Street.

Children enjoyed free fairy floss and lollies and face-painting, as well as the traditional Blue Light disco.

Santa and Mrs Claus also managed to drop in, despite the roaring storm outside.

The thunder, lightning and rain may have discouraged some families but there were still plenty of children having fun inside the hall.

Marshall Noffke, 12, and Luke Washband, 11, from Nanango, were having fun
Clancy Doyle and Tyjahn Clark, both 6
Kerry Washband, from Nanango, with son Jake, 3
Ella Doyle, 11; Charli Clark, 10; and Pauline Sheldrick, 11, were waiting for the free facepainting
