The unique “Festival of Small Halls” is coming to Goomeri on December 18 with some very special musical performances at the Hall of Memory.
The festival is produced by the Woodford Folk Festival and aims to bring top-class folk and contemporary musicians to country halls across Australia.
The shows always include at least one international performer alongside an Australian act.
Singer Irish Mythen, from Canada, and folk group Starboard Cannons, from NSW, will be the main acts at Goomeri.
Mythen is a singer-songwriter, storyteller and comedian who was born in Ireland before settling in Canada.
She has worked with many well-known artists, including The Dubliners and The Pogues.
Starboard Cannons have performed in the United States as well as at some of Australia’s largest festivals.
The “Festival Of Small Halls” has been brought to Goomeri through a partnership between the Gympie Regional Council and Woodford Folk Festival.
