Kumbia Kindergarten’s second Annual Charity Golf Day last Thursday was a resounding success.

Rugby League all-star Allan “Alfie” Langer came to Kumbia as a special guest to support the event, generously donating his time to play with the teams.

After the match, players were treated to a delicious buffet barbeque provided by Kumbia Hotel publicans Paul and Michele Doran.

The couple also organised great prizes from Carlton United Brewery and local businesses Belvedere Peanuts and Ben’s Beef Jerky.

For the second year running, Stanwell Corporation also generously provided valuable sponsorship, and the Kindy looks set to have raised almost $2500 from the day.

“We are always grateful for the support our Kindy receives from the community,” Kindy president Michele Doran said

“Whether it’s attending an event, volunteering time or donating a prize, they tell us it’s because they know how much work we put into making the Kindy a success.

“People are always happy to support that”.
