Renaldo, Renaldo, wherefore art thou Renaldo?

Stop looking! There’s no need to yell into the starry night from a dangerous balcony. The Kingaroy RSPCA has just found the furry lover you’ve been yearning for …

This handsome Romeo is Renaldo, a two-year-old Australian Cattle Dog cross.

The resident Romeo has won the hearts of the staff and volunteers at the shelter, not simply with his good looks and charming personality but because  he’s  been able to overcome the bad stuff, rise above it and enjoy the good!

Renaldo entered the RSPCA’s care as a sad bag-of-bones covered with just patches of hair.

Now he’s covered with fur, smiling and with a zest for life and a love for humans that hasn’t been squashed!

As he was let down in the past by the people who were meant to care and love him the most, the RSPCA didn’t expect Renaldo to be the friendly boy that he is.

But Ren is definitely a social boy and a ladies man.

He’s still learning acceptable behaviours when it comes to socializing – ie not all dogs enjoy having his nose stuck to their uhh… let’s say back end?

Or that when one of his girlfriends is sleeping it’s not acceptable to bop them on the head and then proceed to start a game of chase.

The RSPCA is looking for a home that has a large backyard and secure fencing, preferably someone who will let Ren be an indoor/outdoor dog (he’s completely toilet trained!) … and a family who intend to spoil, love and adore this boy.

Renaldo deserves nothing but the best after being let down in the past.

His adoption fee is $157.50 this week, which includes all his vet work.

This means Renaldo is desexed and microchipped and up-to-date with his vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm treatments. He will also be registered with the South Burnett Regional Council if the new owner lives locally.
