The official opening of the new Murgon Swimming Pool will be held on Saturday morning but that doesn’t mean lots of locals haven’t been having fun all this week.
The pool opened to swimmers on Monday, just in time for the spell of warm weather.
However, at 10:30am on Saturday, South Burnett mayor Wayne Kratzmann will unveil a commemorative plaque to officially open the facility at a free community party.
There’ll be a morning tea and sausage sizzle lunch and fun activities organised by the Orcas swimming club, including swimming lessons and fitness classes.
The Orcas will also be selling drinks and icy cups to raise money for their November swimming carnival.
