The Wondai Race Club will be holding its annual Caulfield Cup race meeting – always one of its biggest meetings of the year – at the Wondai Racecourse in Cadell Street this Saturday, October 17.
It will be a five race meeting and the first race will leave the barriers at 1:30pm.
As usual, the meeting will feature an on-course TAB, live telecasts of interstate races, an undercover betting ring, barbecue and bar, as well as the Lady Luck Cocktail Bar.
This meeting’s theme is “Colours Of Spring” and guests who dress to it can compete in the Fashions Of The Field competition for great prizes.
Buses will be leaving the Fitzroy Hotel in Nanango at noon, the Kingaroy Hotel-Motel at 12:30pm, Proston’s Golden Spurs Hotel at 11:30am, the Hivesville Hotel at 11:45am and the Murgon Newsagency at 12:30pm (phone 0402-715-242 to guarantee a seat).
Gates will open at the track about noon and the feature race of the day – the Wondai Cup – will leave the barriers at 4:15pm.
