Murgon Crusaders have notched up back-to-back wins after bowling out Kingaroy RSL at Lyle Vidler Oval on Saturday.

Murgon won the toss and batted first, finishing with 7/192 off 45 overs.

Top scorers were Troy Dennien (40), Lehman Brunjes (32) and Stuart Robinson (28).

Wayne Kelly was the best of the Kingaroy RSL bowlers, picking up 3/39 off  nine overs. Peter Horne was next best with 2/22 from his nine overs.

In reply, Kingaroy RSL were dismissed for 133 in the 35th over.

Brett Porter made a quickfire 61 and Wayne Kelly made 29 in support.

Best of the Murgon bowlers were were openers Jamian Currin, who took 3/14  off seven overs; Graham Brown (3/12 off six) and Tom Patton (2/27 off six).

In B Grade, played at Wondai, both Cherbourg and Wondai were having their first game of the season.

Cherbourg batted first, and finished with 110 runs.

Tom Langton (43) and Ryan Jacobs (23) were the pick of the Cherbourg batsmen.

Wondai’s best bowlers were Deon Handford (3/14 off 2.5 overs),  Daniel Braxton (2/5 off two overs) and Nathan Cobbo (2/9 off two overs).

In reply, Trent Riddell top-scored for Wondai with 29 and Chris Bodey hit a handy 11 not out.

Cherbourg bowlers ripped through the Wondai attack: Barry Fisher (2/8 off five overs, including three maidens), Keith Walsh (3/17 off five overs), David Warner (2/9 off five overs, including two maidens), C Osborn (2/5 off two overs) and Gene Barrett (1/11 off two overs).

Cherbourg cruised to a 56 run victory.

Also in B Grade, Warriors hosted Kumbia at Kingaroy State School.

Warriors won the toss and elected to bat.

Warriors finished their innings at 9/133 off 40 overs.

Kumbia cruised to victory, overtaking the total in the 24th over and finishing with 142 with the loss of just one wicket.

Top-scorers for the Warriors were Joe Roth (28) and Chris Bunker (21).

Best of Kumbia’s bowlers were Tavis Hartwig (4/24 off eight overs) and Ryan Kelly (2/16 off eight overs).

Dave Hartwig (54 not out) top-scored for the Rattlers and Ryan Kelly scored 39.

Dane Bloomfield took the sole wicket: 1/35 off six overs.

South Burnett U19s played their first rep game of the season on Sunday against Gympie at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy.

The locals enjoyed a 60 run victory, notching up 222 runs.

At one stage Gympie were 8/85 but a brave last wicket partnership stopped the game from being a complete walkover.

Bundaberg went down by one run against Fraser Coast in their U19s game played at Salter Oval.

South Burnett will face Bundaberg in the next round of the competition.
