Delegates from the six Toastmasters clubs in the Wide Bay area gathered near Kingaroy on Saturday for their annual Area Conference.

It is the first time in five years the South Burnett has hosted the Area 28 convention.

Each club also nominated members, who had won at club level, to take part on the four competitions held on the day.

These included short talks on a topic, and impromptu speech and evaluation of a speech.

The conference was held in a converted machinery shed at the “Hopevale” farm.
