A 34-year-old Fernvale man was killed when his ute left the road, crashed into a power pole and burst into flames on the Brisbane Valley Highway in the early hours of Monday morning.
A police spokesman said the ute was travelling southbound away from Fernvale when the incident occurred about 1:00am.
The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
The highway was closed for several hours with diversions put in place via Glamorgan Road and Fernvale Road.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
