If you love live music, get down to Nanango’s Pioneer Park between 1:00pm and 5:30pm on Saturday, October 3.
The Nanango Funfest Committee will be presenting Nanango’s first ever Battle Of The Bands, and it promises to be a great afternoon out.
Seven duos and five full bands will be taking to the stage to battle it out for $1000 in prizes, courtesy of Heritage Bank Nanango, the Nanango Funfest committee and Phantom Studios.
Each act will only be given 15 minutes performance time – just enough for 4 for 5 songs – so the talent will flow pretty quickly, and the styles will vary rapidly too.
Nine of the acts taking part will be locals, and many will be well-known to fans of the region’s music scene.
But they’ll be joined by acts from Bundaberg, Ipswich and the Sunshine Coast who have rarely (or never) been seen in the South Burnett.
Apart from a great afternoon of free entertainment there’ll also be food and soft drinks on sale, as well as fairy floss and a jumping castle to keep children amused.
Saturday’s main stage schedule will be as follows:

1:00pm-1:16pm Odd Sox
1:21pm-1:37pm Polamine
1:42pm-1:58pm Dazza & Gazza
