The highlight of last weekend’s bowls in the South Burnett was the Kingaroy’s Ladies Carnival.

Twenty-one teams from the Sunshine Coast and hinterland took part, and 84 players filled the greens.

Blusterly westerlies prevailed for both days, which tested some of the players.

In the end, it was the visitors who claimed the first three places.

Mooloolaba played great bowls, winning 5 games to get the major prize.

Kadanga took out second place on a countback, scoring two more ends than Bribie Island.
