A TAFE Queensland South West student won the Vocational Student of the Year award at the recent Queensland Training Awards in Brisbane.
Nicola Lang was awarded the Vocational Student of the Year award for her achievements while studying a Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled/Division 2 nursing).
The Queensland Training Awards are the State’s highest recognition of people and organisations in the training sector.
TAFE Queensland won this year’s 2015 Large Training Provider of the Year award.
“We are incredibly proud to be part of such a high-quality organisation that continues to deliver at the highest levels possible,” TAFE Queensland South West general manager Trevor Schwenke said.
“Congratulations to our very own Nicola Lang on winning Vocational Student of the Year, other TAFE Queensland students who won awards, and each region across our State.”
Winners of the Queensland Training Awards will now compete at the Australian Training Awards in Hobart on November 19.
