Artists and members of non-for-profit organisations in the South Burnett still have time to apply for several rounds of funding until the close of business today (Monday, August 31)
South Burnett Regional Council Mayor Wayne Kratzmann said three kinds of funding are open for applications:
- The Mayor’s Community Benefit Fund – The fund is open during this round to applications from not-for-profit organisations with projects which support children and families in the South Burnett, and meet the criteria.
- The Regional Arts Development Fund – A partnership between the South Burnett Regional Council and Arts Queensland which supports professional artists, emerging artists, and arts practitioners living in regional Queensland. Funding can help artists enhance job opportunities via workshops or projects for the arts community, and support artists and arts workers to develop skills which benefit the community. Categories include the funding of projects not supported by other State Government funding, and the preservation of local collections or stories.
- Council’s Community Assistance program – Applications are encouraged from not-for-profit organisations based within the region whose events and projects benefit South Burnett residents. The program has three strands of funding:
- Community assistance;
- Community in-kind assistance; and
- Community elite performance assistance.
Guidelines for all funds are available on Council’s website or by contacting a Customer Service Centre.
