Golfers have an added incentive to get on down to Murgon Golf Course and start practising their swings … they could win a Nissan Micra if their skills are top notch.
A Nissan Micra ST-L will be won by any golfer who gets a hole-in-one at the Mayor’s Charity Golf Day which will be held at Murgon on Friday, September 11.
Huston Nissan dealer principal Mark Huston said he was happy to support the Charity Golf Day as the funds raised support local community groups.
“The fund supports a lot of people and organisations in the community, so it’s for a very good cause,” he said. “We’re very happy to be involved.”
Huston Nissan also supported the Mayor’s inaugural Charity Golf Day, held last year in Kingaroy – but no one won the car, so golfers will just have to try harder this year!
The Nissan Micra is valued at $13,990.
The three-person Ambrose, sponsored by Wessel Petroleum (BP Murgon), will have a shotgun start.
Entry fees include a welcome pack and barbecue lunch.
There will also be raffles and auctions throughout the day.
Council is inviting local businesses or organisations to support the event by way of sponsorship, raffle items and by nominating teams of golfers.

Nomination forms must be returned by September 1.
