The Community Health Building at Cherbourg has been known to local residents as the “Christine Stewart” building since staff shifted into it three years ago, but there’s a beautiful new sign on the building now to greet visitors.

The sign was unveiled by Cherbourg Health Service Manager Tarita Fisher on Thursday.

Back in 2012, Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service Board chairman Mike Horan officially opened the building and announced that it would be named after Christine.

Christine, who is a councillor on Cherbourg Council, has had a 40-year career with Queensland Health.
