Two firearms have been stolen during a break-and-enter in Nanango.

The incident occurred at a residence on Nanango-Brooklands Road.

Nanango police are investigating but anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800-333-000.

Cherbourg police have spoken to a group of teenagers following a break-in at the Yurri Muntha cafe on Monday night.

Thieves jemmied open a door a stole a large quantity of soft drinks.

Stock and Rural Crime Investigation Squad police are urging farmers to check the levels in their diesel fuel storage tanks regularly, and ensure the tanks are monitored and kept secure.

A 25-year-old Toowoomba man was recently fined $1300 and ordered to pay $1290 restitution after he pleaded guilty to stealing diesel fuel from a farm storage tank.

Detectives from the Toowoomba SARCIS were able to obtain footage of the offence occurring including the theft of nearly 1000 litres of fuel late one night.
