The game times for this weekend’s South Burnett rugby league major and minor semi-finals have been released.
In A Grade, Wondai and Cherbourg’s epic battle for the President’s Cup last Saturday will be reprised with an even greater prize at stake, a spot in the Grand Final.
All games – from U12s through to A Grade – will be played at the Wondai Sportsground on Saturday (August 22).
- 8:30am – U12 Minor Semi-Final – Murgon (3rd) v Kingaroy (4th)
- 9:30am – U12 Major Semi-Final – Cherbourg (1st) v Wondai (2nd)
- 10:30am – U14 Minor Semi-Final – Cherbourg (3rd) v Central Burnett (4th)
- 11:30am – U16 Minor Semi-Final – Central Burnett (3rd) v Murgon (4th)
- 1:00pm – U14 Major Semi-Final – Kingaroy (1st) v Nanango (2nd)
- 2:00pm – U16 Major Semi-Final – Kingaroy (1st) v Cherbourg (2nd)
- 3:30pm – A Grade Major Semi-Final – Wondai (1st) v Cherbourg (2nd)
- 5:30pm – A Grade Minor Semi-Final – Kingaroy (3rd) v Murgon (4th)
The winners of the Major Semi-Finals will go straight into the Grand Final, which will be played at Murgon on September 5.
The winners of the Minor Semi-Finals will play the losers of the Major Semi-Finals in Kingaroy on August 29 to decide the other Grand Final slot.
NB. The North Burnett rugby league grand final, between Monto and Eidsvold, will be played in Monto on Saturday (August 22) at 4:00pm.
