A new walking group has hit the footpaths in Kingaroy to help get locals “on the move”.
The “On The Move Walking Group” is co-ordinated by Judith Light, from Centacare Community Connections, and took to the pavements for the first time on Tuesday this week.
The group plans to meet every Tuesday at 10:00am at the Centacare office at 15 Albert Street for the rest of winter, and then select the best time for their spring / summer walks.
Judith said walkers should wear proper walking shoes, comfortable clothing, sunscreen and hat. They should also bring along a water bottle.
The only requirement is to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine, and have fun.
