The South Burnett Race Club will be holding its traditional Winter Race Meeting at the Wondai Racecourse on Saturday, July 11.
As usual, the meeting will feature an on-course TAB, live telecasts of interstate races, an undercover betting ring, barbecue and bar, as well as the Lady Luck Cocktail Bar.
The meeting’s theme is “Winter Wonderland” and guests who dress to it can compete in the Fashions Of The Field competition for great prizes.
Buses will be leaving the Fitzroy Hotel in Nanango at noon, the Commercial Hotel in Kingaroy at 12:30pm, Proston’s Golden Spurs Hotel at 11:30am, the Hivesville Hotel at 11:45am and the Murgon Newsagency at 12:30pm to ferry racegoers to the track (phone 0402-715-242 to guarantee a seat).
Gates will open about noon with Race 1 leaving the barriers at 1:35pm.
